چکیده

Choledochal cysts are congenital cystic dilations of the extrahepatic and/or intrahepatic bile ducts and rare. Adults with choledochal at risk developing biliary carcinoma. Our case is a 31-year-old female patient who presented right upper quadrant pain. In magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic cholangiopancreatography, there was fusiform enlargement duct it evaluated as compatible Type 1 cyst. Extrahepatic tract excision-cholecystectomy-Roux En Y hepaticojejunostomy procedure performed. The pathology result intraductal papillary neoplasm (IPN). IPN rare entity in because precancerous, early diagnosis surgical excision critical.

An intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct mimicking a hemorrhagic hepatic cyst: a case report

An intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct is a biliary, epithelium-lined, cystic lesion that exhibits papillary proliferation and rarely causes large hemorrhagic cystic lesions. Here, we report a case of an intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct mimicking a hemorrhagic hepatic cyst in a middle-aged man with large hemorrhagic hepatic cysts who experienced abdominal pain and rep...

Intraductal papillary mucinous tumor of bile ducts radiologic and pathologic features: a case report

We report a case of a 67-year-old Caucasian man with right upper quadrant abdominal pain. He underwent radiologic investigations that revealed a solid, focal mass, at the V hepatic segment. Because a definitive diagnosis, based on imaging appearance of the lesion, was impossible in our case, we performed a hystopathological investigation but the biopsies were inconclusive. So, the definitive di...

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas associated with neuroendocrine tumor: A case report

INTRODUCTION Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm is an uncommon cystic tumor of pancreas that can be associated with ductal adenocarcinoma. Coexistence of pancreatic IPMN and neuroendocrine tumor is very rare. Here, we report the imaging features of mixed type intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia of the pancreas with high grade dysplasia together with neuroendocrine carcinoma and perfor...

Radiological Spectrum of Intraductal Papillary Tumors of the Bile Ducts

Papillary tumor of the bile duct is characterized by the presence of an intraductal tumor with a papillary surface comprising innumerable frondlike infoldings of proliferated columnar epithelial cells surrounding slender fibrovascular stalks. There may be multiple tumors along the bile ducts (papillomatosis or papillary carcinomatosis), which are dilated due to obstruction by a tumor per se, by...

Intraductal papillary mucinous tumor of the bile ducts.

Papillary tumors of the bile ducts are intraductal tumors with numerous minute frondlike papillary projections. Some intraductal papillary tumors of the bile ducts produce a large amount of mucin that disturbs bile flow and causes severe biliary dilatation. In the presence of a tumor of this subgroup, the entire biliary tree is dilated; segmental or lobar bile ducts are dilated disproportionate...
